2014's best memory - An Organized Elopement!
One of the greatest things about being a parent that no one tells you
is this addition/multiplication math thing' that goes on.
is this addition/multiplication math thing' that goes on.
It kinda looks like this at first -
"One feral resistant womb = Two kids with wild potential"
So great, right?
All that avoidance of alcohol, no hair perm/color (80's, need you ask?)
Soy sauce (sodium!), MSG & smoked sausage (nitrates!)
while pregnant
along with reading every real scary baby book you could find
really paid off ...you hope...
("I gave up bacon for you, child. BACON.")

But then it gets better...
Because If your offspring survives a feral childhood somewhat unscathed
then
theres the possibility that they might gets MARRIED!
theres the possibility that they might gets MARRIED!
so it could look like this -
"One feral resistant womb = Two kids with wild potential + surviving a feral childhood
=
=
Two Smart Beautiful Adults x Two Montana Manly Men Adults
=
FOUR NORMAL ADULTS!"
=
FOUR NORMAL ADULTS!"
FOUR NORMAL ADULTS now RELATED TO ME!!!!
Dont you love math?
*grin*
But then it gets even better -
"We are going to have a courthouse wedding with a Dinner and Evening out afterwards...
Momma, you wont have to do a thing but have fun"
HOLD MY HORSES PLEASE!!
(no, really)
I GET TO DRESSUP/JOYCRY/TAKEPICTURES/LAUGH/CHATTER/ GRIN/HUG/CELEBRATE/PARTY/LOVEONBRIDE&GROOM/HUGNEWRELATIVESTOO
/TOASTCHAMPAGNE/EATROASTDUCKLING/EATCAKE/EATAPPETIZERS/EATMORE
and
Drink decent Anjeo Tequila too???
without the use of a hot glue gun at any point and time?
GET OUT OF TOWN!!!!!
No, really, it was out of town. In Billings, Montana to be exact.
And there was no really solid date, it was all dependent on their work schedule.
We were all on call - we wouldnt know until a little before...
SO IT WAS EXCITINGLY WILD!!!
We prepared a standby outfit for ourselves ....
&
bought the Bride one too because, well, Bride.
we were soooo excited!!!!
*grin*
Honest to Ritz crackers, when the oldest daughter called us to tell us of their wedding plans in the beginning of 2014, well, we just got excited. Not just because they didnt want a big fancy wedding in our hayfield like her sister & hubs that would certainly doom us to another disaster two weeks after, because well, us...But because she was marrying David, a handsome athletic math genius we adore (who has a Masters Degree in Mathematics? A GENIUS does, thats who!) who will certainly all make us look like geniuses because well, we be related somehow...right? (see math equation above)
But then it gets even better -

THEN THE BIG CALL CAME!!!!!!
WE WERE ALL SO EXCITED!!!
ALL THIRTEEN of US!!!
CRAMMED INTO THAT LITTLE OFFICE !
ELOPEMENTS ARE FUN WHEN SHARED!!!!!!!!
It wasnt planned originally that way,
but when you are Abby & David, who wouldnt want to be there?
After all, it really is all about numbers!
"One beautiful bride + One handsome Groom + Thirteen+ guests = A DANG GREAT PARTY!!!!"
Part two & pictures coming up, ima on a roll cant stop me now no reallly.....
Mazel tov!!
ReplyDeleteOh Abby and David's organized elopement is just what you needed after all that glue gunning and stuff preparing for that last beautiful wedding under those Montana skies. Oh I loved that wedding too.It was truly beautiful. I cannot believe you gave up bacon (sorry). I love the brides dress and your hot mama dress.
ReplyDeleteSo happy that you had so much fun at this one too it sounds a little less stressful, oh and I think you know I know a little about stressful weddings after all. I don't remember giving up bacon (sorry).
So what I get from this post is that now there are four children and there are going to be lots and lots of adventures coming from this incredible Mom who I must add gave up bacon (sorry) .
Congratulations to Abby and David and thank goodness you are on a roll with this blogging thing. I know there are going to be a lot of happy people out there knowing this. Waiting for part two. (Really Bacon?) Hug B xo
Congratulations to the happy couple...and the not-stressed-out-mother-of-the-bride! :) Can't wait for the pictures!
ReplyDeleteWell "Honest to Ritz crackers " I can hardly wait to hear the rest.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of the Ritz you looked pretty snazzy in that dress and those shoes , feral girls clean up nice .
GW Feral Woman,
ReplyDeleteNo giving up BACON for any reason!!!!!
Congratulations, another wedding.......this one just a beautiful as the other with less stress......more relaxed.....
These are the type of weddings I prefer, relaxed.....
My SIL to be is waiting to pop the question to our daughter (my step daughter). I'm praying when the time comes their wedding will be like like Abby and David's wedding.
I'm afraid my step daughter wants a princess wedding.
I love you, you crazy wonderful Feral Woman. Your daughters are so blessed to have you for a mom.
ReplyDeleteThat kind of math really adds up. Princess weddings are great, but so are organized elopements. One of our sons and his fiance decided to take the money and run. Small wedding, borrowed dress and several weeks in Rome and Paris. So wise and so much fun for everyone involved. Feral children know how to enjoy life and choose wisely. (GENIUS) You and your guy did good in the parenting category.
ReplyDeleteTwo perfect weddings! Normally, I avoid math at all turns, but this kind of addition is different! You are looking like a hot potato in that get-up - and those shoes!! Can't wait to see and read more. LOVE your posts to pieces.
ReplyDeleteGreat maths :-D
ReplyDeleteMATH! I was c/o to math teacher last night about how much I 'disliked' it and I guess to Prove it, I just put 4 lbs of tomatoes in soup calling for 2 lbs............you on the other hand did WAY much better!!! What a wonderful feral bunch/herd you have :) Congrats and did you actually WALK in those shoes??? More congratulations :)
ReplyDeletewonderful! you make everything sound like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWowsa what a knockout momma!! Vegetarian bacon is the best!!! Hahaha-picture you on floor gagging now! Sounds like the perfect math to me!! How lucky to love your SIL's !!!! You deserve this all !! Happy trails!!!!!
