Readable? Too Chanel-colored?

Can you tell that Im done with Timber Cruising for the year
after
last week's snow?

Can you tell that Im drinking a diet grapefruit soda with fritos at 3 in the morning fretting about blog formats?

  1. Oh, for Heaven's sake, please don't go all funny on us. Timber cruising in six feet of snow is not a viable option. So, wait for the spring. Take a holiday. Write the great American novel. Be the Feral self that you want to be. Get more harmonious with your new dog and old cats. Whatever!

Blessings and Bear hugs in the process!

  2. The dark background is distracting to me (maybe something a little more cheerful?) and the fonts are difficult for my tired old eyes to read. Love your blog and wish you posted more often!

  3. Well nice to see you back and I love your new header. Frostig is lookin' good even with only one ear. I am kind of happy it snowed in the hills because now you have no excuse but to blog for all of your patiently waiting adoring readers. I agree with Rob-Bear write that novel but drop us a blog once in awhile I know you were missed by many.
So about the diet at 3 in the morning .......well never mind:)
Your blog format well..... I have to scroll over to read it all, just sayin' and Melisa may have a point the fonts hard to read for my eyes too but I hope to have new glasses soon so may be just me:)
Now after all that no running for the hills. HUG xo B

  4. Like the ponies expression! :) one ear or two, doesn't matter......pop and Fritos at 3 am, well we've all been there!
I agree with the rest of the comments. The font size is a little small....

  6. Love the colors. Font is a bit difficult to read. Enjoy your down season!

  7. Yup. Font all caps not good, too big. Have to scroll all over to read. Maybe get some sleep and then try again. (You sure that was diet grapefruit soda you were drinking?) And like Melissa said, we love your blog and wish you'd post more often. Your writing is fun, quirky and amazing.

  9. Love your blog, but gotta say that this font is hard for me to read.

  10. OKay lets try this - (its like the EYE DOCTOR!!! "does 1 or 2 look better? Does 3 or 4 look better???" CAN I SEE THEM AGAIN PLEASE??? WHEEE!) -

This is the old font from the old blogger format which was difficult for me to update and left some openings (had to upgrade)... Is this Better, Everybody?

  11. Howdy Miss Infrequent Blogger. On my computer screen it is so wide everything can't be seen without me sliding the page over. Did that happen with anyone else?
Your blog, your choice. I'll read it no matter what.

  12. Well, guess I'm late to the party, but the font looks fine to me. My old eyes read it just fine. I do have to scroll side to side to take it all in, though.

I'm just so glad to hear from you, girl!!! We really do miss you when you disappear into the hills.

  13. Yes, I too have to slide the page over, your format doesn't fit the page. Also, the font is kind of fuzzy. There's lots of blog themes to pick from,so if you decide this one isn't working try another!

  14. I always look forward to reading your posts...glad you're back! I have a little bit of a hard time with the font too... but I think it's because it's white on black, and it gets all wiggly on me! ( It would never be my old eyes...no!)

  15. Even with my "older" eyes, the font needs to be a bit larger.
I think you should take another picture of your horse and set them side by side--ala a mug shot!!

  16. Have to scroll to read. Love the header.

  17. I just knew that other ear was there somewhere!! I too have to scroll over. All of us with square screens will have to do that, so it would be better with the sidebar on the right side or making it smaller. I read the Ranger post below and I am so glad you got another dog. He is so great looking and I feel the love between all of you. A very wonderful thing.

  19. Funny, yesterday when I read your blog I thought the font was difficult to read but I didn't know if I should comment because "each to their own", you know. But obviously a few other people thought that too, so now that you have changed your font, it is much easier to read. Thanks!

  21. The main column looks fine to me, but the left column, archives etc is hard to read against the background. Lay off the fritos and keep trying. ha!

  24. Im a liking it ~ yup it's you ~ with all the wide open space , nice , i like wide open spaces myself.

  25. GW Feral Woman,

I like your format, loved your old one too. Like you, I need to change my format up too. I'm a bit nervous about doing so though.
That's why I'm dragging my feet, lol......

  28. I guess I missed the funny font :) I like your new page just fine! I do have a tip for you. If you must sit up at 3 am working on the computer, don't do it in the dark..it will hurt your eyes. Turn the overhead light on. Oh and try some dill pickle potato chips with that grapefruit drink. Ok, that's all I got. LOL!
