I am so sorry. There are no words that can describe the sorrow, I know. I had two precious ponies that grew old while my children grew up. Eventually the kids moved out and they became my sweet pets. But you know the ending and it is always heart wrenching. So, I say this, your dear, sweet pony lived a wonderful life. Because of you. Big hugs. xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post. Sorry you had to say goodbye to this beautiful girl. Not easy, but I'm sure she had a very good life with you. Big hugs from Skoog Farm.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs to you, and I hope she was greeted by Sundee, Chipper, Calico, Annie, Montana, Chipsy, Rosie and Cruiser, the Diamond Lazy H horses.

ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend... but his poem warmed my heart... lucky you are to have had the time you had together...
ReplyDeleteThanks you for sharing... Hugs...!
I am crying here. RIP sweet girl! Say hi to a few wonderful spotties you may come to know too
ReplyDeleteAwww so sorry. I know it's hard. We just know the day we get an animal, we will someday have a broken heart. I hope Sally hangs out with Winston for awhile. He'll teach her how to get in all kinds of trouble!

So sorry to hear this, sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so sorry. I bet Leontien is taking really good care of her. Bless all of you!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteOh it's so hard to lose these oldies. Thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteSally was adorable in the Christmas Story and she lived a happy life. I am sorry for your loss, for EBs and Dexter's loss too. What a sweet girl she was. I'm sending hugs and I'm so sorry.
ReplyDeleteSorry, hope she runs over there in big green fields
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know Sally but after reading this post and going through the Christmas Play post my heart hurts for you. But I'm also happy Leontien is there to give her hugs and scratches. Friends leave behind an awful empty place. But with time that place can be filled with flowers.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry-
ReplyDeleteI am really so very sorry.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs to all of you! What a lovely post and it made me cry.
ReplyDeleteSending big hugs. So hard loosing such a special friend who has been around for so many years. I loved reading the story about her.
ReplyDeleteI was "okay" until you said that about Leontion and now I'm sobbing. {{{hugs}}}
ReplyDeleteIt seems Sally played an important role in your family and that she will be missed in a big way. I just can't imagine not having animals in my life (there to teach me unconditional love and non-judgment) even though there is such heartache when they die. My sincere condolences to all of you.
