  1. I am so sorry. There are no words that can describe the sorrow, I know. I had two precious ponies that grew old while my children grew up. Eventually the kids moved out and they became my sweet pets. But you know the ending and it is always heart wrenching. So, I say this, your dear, sweet pony lived a wonderful life. Because of you. Big hugs. xoxo

  8. Awww so sorry. I know it's hard. We just know the day we get an animal, we will someday have a broken heart. I hope Sally hangs out with Winston for awhile. He'll teach her how to get in all kinds of trouble!

  15. I didn't even know Sally but after reading this post and going through the Christmas Play post my heart hurts for you. But I'm also happy Leontien is there to give her hugs and scratches. Friends leave behind an awful empty place. But with time that place can be filled with flowers.

  20. It seems Sally played an important role in your family and that she will be missed in a big way. I just can't imagine not having animals in my life (there to teach me unconditional love and non-judgment) even though there is such heartache when they die. My sincere condolences to all of you.
