A picture is worth a thousand words for sure, but there are not enough words to express how sorry we all are that you had to experience this disaster, thankfully you are safe, and since there is a picture thru a window I take it your house survived. Take care of yourself and your critters and stay safe. Hopefully you get some light rains and some grass will sprout, you don't need a gully washer now to take away all the top soil.
No need for words, the pictures are eloquent enough. Heartbreaking. I am happy to see Dexter dog, and that you still have a house. It's not always easy to look for the good things, but we are all so glad that you made it through this. Keeping you in my prayers.
My heart goes out to you! I too have a cabin up in the mountains and have thought of this sort of thing often. Blessings to you, and just take one day at a time. Hope all of your animals will be ok! and thank God you survived that inferno. know it is something you will never forget!
Thank you so much for updating your blog and keeping us informed. You are in my thoughts... everyone's thoughts. I can't get the nightmare out of my head - and I'm not living it, hearing it, smelling it. But, by seeing your pictures I feel a little closer to you. The pictures help me understand just the littlest bit about what you are going through. I wish there were a way to make it 'all better'. Don't we always wish that for folks we care about?!
Your posts have kept me in tears. I feel so bad for all you and your animals have been through. Is there anything we can do to help in anyway? What a helpless feeling.....
You will remain in my thoughts and I'm sending you lots of hugs from Skoog Farm.
My heart aches for you, your neighbors, the animals, the trees, and the earth there. But I am glad you and Mr. Foresterman are alive. Glad you found Tomez and that he and Ebony and Sally will heal. Poor animals. Must have been so frightened, but HURRAY that they are eatting and drinking. Your vet is a saint! I hope you can get some sleep and rest
I have been thinking of you Night and Day.. I will echo what all the others say... Peace and Prayers from Alabama. If We Can Help Please Yell for we will hear you.Hugz with tears..
What a miracle that you all survived including your dear animals. Cyber hugs and prayers, of course, but we all want to help. You will need to buy supplies for yourselves and animals in the near term - please put up a PayPal button so we can help support you through this.
Rest rest rest and let yourself mourn what you need to. Praying continually that they can get the fires under control and doing as many rain dances as I possibly can.
I, too, echo the above. I can't find the words to express how devastating this is, how much I find myself caring for you, your husband, and your animals. One thing I know for sure, I hope you can eat and sleep. You were ill before and I worry about your health now. Please try get some rest and some food. Other than that, I am just sending lots of hugs.--Inger
I'm glad to see Dexter in the picture. I was worried about him. This is so terrible. I want to help SO bad. Please let me know if there is anything we can do or send to you. Prayers continue...
The Amish here use something called Burdock Root Cream for burns. We have tried it and it works well. It stinks though. If you want a jar sent for your animals, I can send it right away. You don't have to take the time to answer this if you don't want some, but if you do, here is my email. patrice@everydayruralty.com
Saw that someone mentioned setting up a paypal button, and I would definitely contribute to help if you do that, or if you email me, I will send you a check. jstonefnp@yahoo.com. Your animals are going to need some special care, and then there will be hay that you will need. Extra money will help! let me know , or i will watch for the button
Terribly sad . . . there are no words to express how sad I am for you, your people, animals, Montana . . . suffice it to say, I care . . . thank you for taking the time to send out messages.
My eyes are full of tears as I catch up on your last few posts. I can't even begin to imagine what you all and the animals endured. Know that you and all your neighbors are in our thoughts during this horrible time. Your vet is truly an angel. The media should be reporting what is going on in Montana, it's never on the news here. I'm glad to see Nancy's comment about the discounted and free hay, I had horrible thoughts that there would be price gouging going on. {{{HUGS}}} to you and all your animals.
I can't imagine... all i know to do is shake my head & tears... i'm so terribly sorry...heartbreaking... i'm praying for you & your community & the animals
