Next month its back to Timber Cruising in the Black Hills...
I am slowly easing myself off of malted milk eggs and Mr. Foresterman's excellent homemade chocolate chip ice cream so I can waddle in the woods productively next month. Wish us luck.
Speaking of waddling, I found some old Timber Cruising photos to share ~
Speaking of waddling, I found some old Timber Cruising photos to share ~
A poky old porcupine,
a precarious fern,
a perky Pine Marten,
a perched Ponderosa Pine stand,
a pesky Black Hills Ground Squirrel,
a perfect parking opportunity,
a very pretty Aster,
a proficient Bumble Bee,
a poisonous mushroom?
a prominent mother tree,
a playful Dexterdog,
a phenomenal view,
a photogenic log,
a protective, practical no-dig log fence,
a peaceful moonrise,
a pensive pair of deer,
two plump wood chucks,
a lovely purple Lupine,
a poetic Fire Tower,
a long line of precipitous cliffs (i was up there?!)
And a very pleasant sunset!
Thank you for being so patient and polite by viewing these personal cruising photos!

What beautiful scenes, the pine martens are never seen here...you must have an awesome lens on your camera to capture them. Loved the tour.

ReplyDeleteLoved the pics! I've never heard of pine martens. They're kinda cute. Lupines are great...have you ever read the children's book Miss Rumphius? You must read it, then go spread some lupine seeds.
ReplyDeleteCindy Bee
Where's the partridge in a pear tree?!? Wonderful shots. We've been seeing that type of a squirrel here which many of the native residents haven't seen before.
ReplyDeletePerfect!
