Sometimes it takes just a little bit more for some folks
then a highway sign that states "OPEN RANGE"...
Too many fast vehicles + too many deceased cows = one tired Rancher,
with a can of red paint out to "educate" drivers.
And this smart bovine knew exactly where to stand.
This shot was taken in the utmost SE corner of Montana - by Alzada - on our way to the Black Hills for work. Just one of those "rare" moments - well okay, one of those moments where i literally screamed "STOP" at poor Mr. Foresterman driving and jumped out while the truck was still moving, to start shooting pics while he changed his pants...not really, about the pants part, but he gently reminded me in his pegged to a "T" Mr. Rogers voice that I do not have to scream, that I can ask politely in my indoor voice, and if I want to stay healthy i mustn't jump from moving trucks nor run in front of them until they come to a complete or in my case near a complete stop...
He really is that much of a Saint.
He's basically kinda like my stuffed toy tiger I had as a child who protected and comforted me...
But unlike my beloved stuffed tiger,
