"Feral ~ from feminine of ferus wild: having escaped from domestication and become wild"...

Tuesday

welllll....

 Remember the band "America"?...

"weve been through the mountains

with a cat with no name,

it felt to good to get out of the rain...

in the mountains, you cant forget to get gas

cuz' otherwise, you may as well try to eat grass...

oh-

la, laaaa, la la la laa,

oh

la, la, laaaaa!"

what do we call this 10 maybe 11 maybe 12 month old cat?

She has no name for now.

She was given up for adoption from the big city streets of Sheridan, Wyoming
one month ago before valentines day.
:(

Now shes been fixed, vaccinated, chipped, adopted

and

shes either Tomaz's best dream...

or worst nightmare.

he's still trying to figure out which...

but hes not lonely anymore!

~

i didnt even go into the dog room, i cant...but Mr. foresterman did.
Said there is nothing sadder then seeing a pup behind bars :( ...
We are strong advocates for adopting animals from city shelters,
and
we donated Dexters unopened 40 lb bag of good eats and some cans.

we were able to check online to see what kind of donations,
whether it be monetary or physical, that they needed...
It was a nice way to remember Dexterdogs good nature to share :)

Isabel though didnt like to share, so we just patted kitties
and i sat with tons of kitties on the floor in her name.
I didnt pick any up in her name because she would rip my arm off if i ever tried with her...
i digress as usual.

xoxo

  7. Oh she is beautiful and I think by the look in Tomaz eyes they are going to be the best of friends after the stare down thingy. I love that song and now it is stuck in my head I am so happy "no name" was found and she will have the best home ever forever. Dexter and Isabel did. Nice tribute to Dexter dog with the donation. I can't see puppies behind bars either. Hug xo B

  9. Feral...you are so funny. I cracked up laughing about the "trim" comment! I woke up singing this song, just thought I'd pop back on here and let you know...and...I thought of America for the name too....but then I see someone else already thought about it. Or you could name her "horse", after the song! I think it'd be funny to name a cat, horse, then yell..."heeeere horsey horsey horsey...and the cat comes running!" (I wonder if Florida Farm Girl still thinks we think alike!)

  12. Squee! What a beautiful cat - cats!! Tomas is no slouch in the looks department. Like all young things, her name will show itself, or so I believe.

  15. How about Lakota - in honor of Medicine Wheel just outside Sheridan (where I lived for many years). It's a powerfully spiritual place, and maybe it would help keep the peace with Tomaz.

  16. I'm jealous of your new tabby friend. What a sweet smile. I really hope Tomaz makes friends with her. They could really have fun together. Maybe another trip into the mountains and you can, decide on her name 'cuz there ain't no one there to give you no pain. La la lah lalalala la

That is so generous of DexterDog to donate to the Humane Society. Thank you from the dogs behind bars.

I am feral, so although I dont respond at all like most domesticated bloggers, I will try my best - Thank you for even wanting to leave a comment, as it may draw me out from the woods from whence I came!

Or under a rock, it depends most days...
