Its Beginning to look a lot like a Disaster Recovery Zone

Ev'rywhere you go;

Take a look my blogging friends, we're building once again

With logging chains and silver re-rod all a-glow!!!

*tra la la la la la la   la la la la la laaaa!!*

Its beginning to look a lot like a Disaster Recovery Zone

Dead things on ev'ry acre;

but the nastiest sight to see is the future that will be

delivered right to ouuuur front door

*tra la la - DEXTER DROP THE DEAD ANIMAL PART NOW!!! uh...  la la la la la laaaa!!*

A pair of logging boots and a waterhose that shoots
is the wish of Mister Foresterman;

and windows that shut and doors that close
is the hope of janice aka feral woman

And Eb and Sally can hardly wait for their shed to be open again!

*tra la la la la la la   la la la la la laaaa!!*

Soooooooo,

Its Beginning to look a lot like a Disaster Recovery Zone

Ev'rywhere you go;

Theres no live trees in the Forest, none in the yard as well,

Theyre so dead that they dont even really mind the snow!

*uhmmmm...tra la la la la la la   la la la la la laaaa!!*

 its Beginning to look a lot like a Disaster Recovery Zone

Soon the healing will start,

and the thing that will make us sing is the good wishes that you have brung?!

right within your heart!!!

*psst  the finale, tomez!!*

  8. A fresh blanket of snow is a welcome sight, I'm sure the land was thirsting for moisture. Tomez looks great!
    Do you realize (scold, scold) that this is the first photo you have shown with the pony in it since that dread day, and that you never mentioned her in any of your posts? If you did, I didn't see them, and I was wondering what became of her but was afraid to ask. Now I can heave a sigh of relief!

  10. Lovely song! It's beginning to look a lot like recovery. YAY! The animals look good! So will everything else come spring!

    Think you should work on becoming a song writer? Just for a bit of extra cash, BUT don't quit your day job!

    You are awesome Janice!

  12. Tomez looks great, and ready for Christmas! Send some snow our way, will you?

  13. Tomez looks wonderful! Is it bad if I like this version of the song more then the original?

  14. Ah, yes. Let the healing begin. Let's hope there's snow on the ground for a good long while and when it goes away in the spring, new life will be bursting forth. So good to hear from you.

  15. Beautiful snow pictures - we don't get snow like that here - it looks so pretty!!!
    I have to say I LOVE your sense of humour. I hope you manage to get the barn up for your horsies soon. :))

  16. Leave it to you to make an old song a new hit. Your humour is what will get you through all and everything that Dexter may be dropping on the doorstep.
    The snow sure is pretty. Here in Canada we do not have snow weird HUH.
    The horses and Tomez look great a finished barn would be nice but you will get there.
    I wish I was there helping well maybe hindering the recovery process I am pretty handy with tools and I know I am very good at distractions.
    I do know you are going to be alright and things are going to work out my dear friend because I SAID SO!!!!
    Keep writing those songs. Yup we really gotta get together there is no denying that now, I need to know a songwriter I have a few ideas myself:)
    Love B {{HUGS}}

  20. Applause! Applause! Applause! That kind of attitude is what keeps the world turning. Best wishes for all kinds of healing going your way.

  21. The feral woman in you will see you through all this. And when you have such a wonderful sense of humor too, it will all work out OK. It warms my heart to see Dexter Dog running through the snow, regardless of what he has in his mouth, the horses recovering, and best of all Tomez looking so good. Best wishes for a great Christmas and a much, much better new year.

  22. Everything looks brighter with the new fallen white snow.. tra la :o)

    I wish you wellness, happiness and forest fairies to rebuild while you two are sleeping :) :) zzz

  23. Your area looks almost like pine beetle hit it, but I am new here so I am picking up it may have been a fire. We have so many dead trees from pine beetle that the fire hazards can be very high. But have a mixed forest. Keep on singing and you will get through it all. The glistening snow always brightens the day.

  24. You are so funny... at least the snow is helping to pretty things up. And your kids look wonderful. :)

  25. I enjoyed all of your beautiful pictures !!! (^.^)/"""

    ReplyDelete
  26. LOL, I just found your blog and have enjoyed it so much!

    ReplyDelete
  27. There is beauty and promise in all of your pictures. Well, except for the promise of the dead animal part. But Dexter sure looks happy about it. And Tomez! He looks wonderful!

I am feral, so although I dont respond at all like most domesticated bloggers, I will try my best - Thank you for even wanting to leave a comment, as it may draw me out from the woods from whence I came!

Or under a rock, it depends most days...
